We use the highest quality leathers top grain leathers, in rich colors, and an array of interesting textures. Top grain oil tanned hides, chrome tanned hides, stoned oiled ( distressed ) cowhide ( this is an exceptional leather with an old world effect, one of my favorites ! ) Light weight select chap hides, smooth and distressed upholstery leather, motorcycle, suede, elk and deertan cowhide, 4 to 5oz. Latigo, exotic leathers such as snakeskin, ostrich, gator, lizzard, and many more are choices.  A 3 to 4oz. weight/ thickness  is a standard for our straps. 

All lining leather is top grain garment pigskin either smooth or suede,  garment lambskin and garment cowhide.

Hand painted pieces are literally painted panels of white goatskin. These are completed then inlayed into the strap itself. All paints,dyes, inks, oil based strains thatwe use are  designed for use on leather.  Upon finish, a number of layers of clear highly durable, non-yellowing  acrylic topcoat is carefully applied to create an " art-under-glass look."   All painted art is gauranteed to not peel or crack with proper customer care. All handpainted or embellished straps come with a care card.
